Christina loves Christmas, just as much as me-if not more. She loves the decorations and the music and the food, but when asked her favorite part she says it is the way people smile so much during this time of the year. I decided that we should do something that fit with the season. We would decorate a gingerbread house! It was fun watching her carefully cement the pieces with hard icing. Our house turned out beautifully with all of the colorful candy making it cheerful and festive.
We ended the day with a drive down Starry Rd...it was fun to hear Christina's enjoyment of it and to see her smile. What a perfect way to end such a day. Driving home with a sweet friend in my warm, cozy car with Christmas music blasting (that's the only way she can hear it...or should I say feel it? ;) filled me with thankfulness for this time of the year.
